Did you know that Mylapore was once called Vedapuri??? and Did you know that “ Mylapore” is derived from the Tamil word Mayil, meaning peacock, which was the vehicle of Lord Muruga? Apparently, Peacocks used to thrive in this locality, alas, none are left today…
